According to Imagipedia, the BURG was destroyed by a circus act gone tragically wrong, when Cecil. B. Chalmers, human cannonball, was distracted by a fight between two clowns and accidentally turned the power dial of his cannon up to 150% instead of the regulation 50%. The blast hurled his unconcious body halfway across town, smashing the BURG.
The VILLE was taken out by a fifteen-man team of hikers who tripped on a turtle and rolled into it.
