In this episode, we animate Google Sketchup "cameras" along a precisely drawn path. We also cover the uses of Layers and Scenes to help create a final animation.

  • is this sketchup pro or the standard version?

  • we are using the Pro version in this video, but you can use the free version to do all of the same stuff.

  • @4sketchupgo2school can't edit the layer name in entity info with sketchup basic :(

  • @InfinityDose You can edit layer names by double clicking on a layer name in the Layers window (go to Window > Layers).

  • can you do an inverse version where the camera is within a model spinning around to give room views from a central point .

  • definitely.

  • plzz turn off that annoying mouse-clicking noize

  • This helped soooo much thank you!

  • You can find this same car in NFS MW and NFS Carbon game!

  • why don't we just click the car and then click "rotate", followed by "make movie"?

I'll answer that question: because *I* hav'nt written the code yet----

  • there are many metods for anomation but ---the way on the path ----its my lost -----but ---you give me that ---thank you

  • Well done, but painful to watch because the FlightPath plugin from Smustard will do the same thing in a few seconds.

  • Why does the animation at the end keep going black?

  • @senorjorgegonzales - if you had just added the new scene for the first time, there is no need or requirement to manually click Update as he explained in the video, it is ready to go once it is added. You only need to click Update if you need to go back and edit an existing scene with different variables.
