The tactics Nigeria's security forces are using to fight Boko Haram are just making the insurgency worse. That is what Amnesty International says in a report released on Thursday. The report titled Nigeria: Trapped in the Cycle of Violence accuses the security forces of summary executions, torture and detention without trial. It also documents Boko Haram's atrocities, including its systematic targeting of civilians.

Maybe you're right. I have to confess I didn't know the whole story until I listened to this video. Sounds like there are major problems in Nigeria with overpopulation, poverty and a disparity between rich and poor as well as educated and uneducated. Its too bad that Muslims have advocated such large families. Muslim countries have some of the highest birthrates in the world and when you export that thinking to Africa, where the birthrate was high to begin with, it becomes astronomical.

With dialog, or without dialog, there is only one way to bring peace. Everybody puts down there weapons, goes home, and stays home. The method has been tried and found to work, to a point. When it does fail, it's usually with the "staying home" part.

They are jihadists, basically, but with sub-Saharan, west-African flavorings added in, . The perfect mix for cold blood.
Jihadists will jihad, as my Daddy always said... Killin' for God.

Should they have a dialogue with Boko Haram? Hell no. Boko is a bunch of cold-blooded killers.

"...you backwards, privileged self-congratulatory prick!..."
Whoa, now... I'll have you know I'm not the least bit privileged.
As for Nigeria, yes, I know everything there is to know about it, and all the rest of the Sub-Sahara. I am a world-renowned authority on the entire Bantu region of Africa, its history, its languages, and the intermingled, 4000 year plus histories of its various preliterate cultures. You believe me right? It's absolutely true,... darling.
So, are you not entertained?

Yeah, tell me, how much do you know about the Nigerian economy, its history, or its tribal conflicts? What tribes are fighting? Do you know? Hmmm? Your logic is terribly flawed as EVERY country has some form of human rights infringement. Don't lecture me about drawing your imaginary socio-political divisive lines, you backwards, privileged self-congratulatory prick! Go on darling, please entertain me with all you know. I'm waiting.
