For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear!
Yes, they will stop listening to the truth, but will turn aside to follow myths!

I don't think that's very true.
I think the concept, "Defense is the first act of war" is very important.
For example, when Barack Obama recently brought attention to Fox News and their, "War on the White House," their ratings jumped 20%!
We should rearrange our thinking to focus on harmonious thoughts. Then the whole universe will come to our aid naturally.
I'm an extremely spiritual person and believe very strongly in political activity. It's essential.

The purpose of religion & new age spirituality is to put people to sleep so that they will obey authority and not question it, and allow tyrannical governments, and greedy corporations to get a foot hold, and impoverish and enslave the masses.

As a former ACIM student and deceived follower of Marianne Williamson I have found John 3:16 to be the only true "Returnto Love". I doubt Ms. Williamson even knows what true love is. True Love is that God sent His Son to the Cross so that humankind might be reconciled to God! Marianne Williamson is simply following ACIM which is full of deceptions and lies. The Truth is to be found in Jesus Christ of Nazareth and NOT in the "messages" received by a woman named Helen.
