@Axxex kool thats really interesting to know. tnxs :-) i only found out tht Haitian people speak Creole because there was a natural disaster and it was broadcast on the news then me n my mum heard them speak creole which was then shortly translated to English. Then my mums like ohh is that creole then i started looking up Haitian's culture n i found it to be very interesting. n i really want to learn Haitian creole now!!! Thanks again.

@HSVneel And back then the didnt speak the way they speak now the form and pronunciation of the verbe was pretty different and its what the slave were exposed to. so back then the verb Voir (to see) was written "Vouer". So to put it in the slave's way of saying it you have to remove the "R' at the end, so it became "Vouè" and with time we lost the V as well. to end up like. N'a Ouè. So its all french. Regards. ;)

@HSVneel For example you guys say: N'a retrouv to say: See you later. using the french verbe "Retrouver" meaning "we will FIND each other again"(not literal). Well for Haitian we use the word "Voir", where we would say: "N'a oue"(mostly written in the slang "N'a wè" wich litterally means "we'll 'SEE' each other again. But Here's the twist which Haitian creole as you can see the the verb form and sound is quite different; Its because Haitian Creole is one of the oldest creole...

@HSVneel Well if you Mauritian you understand that a creole will contain a a good percentage of the language that its from wich is French Mauritius and Haiti have that type of creole. They both use french word its just the pronunciations, deformation of the words that aren't the same. You will find that french as long as you pay attention and understand the rules of the language.

Does Haitian creole have a lot of French in it?? I'm from Mauritius n I find this form of creole similar but there are some words that are just not working out for me.

@amazingdany so, i am part of the elite because i speak French? You are so stupid LOL. Dude, there are no books written in Creole. We are taught only in French. Are you implying that only the elite goes to school to get an education?

Btw, if i didn't receive an adequate education in my country, Haiti, i wouldn't be able to come here to continue my education. I mean, i would still be here, but i wouldn't be able to learn proper or standard English; let only get enrolled in a college.
