wow, I thank you both for sharing your stories. I think it helps to talk about this stuff. relationships are so delicate and tricky. I want to believe we all want the same things but we go about it so differently according to our history and experience. I hope to post more soon. again, thanks for sharing.

I was married for 20 years. 10 years of verbal abuse from her. Calling me ass and asshole. Finally kicked her mean ass out. Let her call someone else that mean crap. She remarried right away. While I, would rather be dead than put up with that meanness ever again.

I just left a relationship similar to what these ladies describe. My husband was afraid to feel vulnerable, so he isolated himself and clsed me off. I felt so empty and nearly disappeared in that home. I've been on my own, sort of, with three kids now, and the healing process is so slow. I hope these ladies learn to heal, we all need to learn about relationships every day. Good luck.
