He talks of brothels, book-writing, chicken salad, a half-serious sobriety, and extolling the virtues of a neurotoxin (ecstasy) whilst plugging his books (which nobody reads). He talks about when ecstasy first emerged on the scene and how it spawned “beautiful and carefree times”. Christ, how many of our friends thought the same thing and ended up HIV-positive, drug-addicted or dead? But like the man says, in his defensive and unflappable way, “You can’t argue with chemicals”. Really, Aiden?
