I say Benny is NOT from God. I believe Benny to be a charlatan, a scoundrel, a liar, a fraud, a false prophet, a raging heretic... and he has a horrible hairdo.

@JoseATurner I believe only those validly ordained in apostolic succession are rightfully called pastors, though we generally refer to them as priests. He is categorically a Christian, but this says nothing of his orthodoxy.

Since this video was posted. Grassley's investigation was a big ZERO. I know that Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer and Kenneth Copeland passed through the investigation and no wrong doing was proved. Your opinion is your opinion, nothing more. Truth is you won't hear on YouTube that Hinn, Copeland and Meyer were cleared. I don't know about the other preachers that were investigated but I think that Creflo Dollar was also cleared. Grassley was "show boating", nothing more...

As much as I may personally wish the government to recognize their kind of charlatanism as criminal, it will continue to be recognized as nothing more than personal sin outside the jurisdiction of the state.

While I am the first to grant that not all sins are crimes (though all crimes are sins), I am of the persuasion that these hucksters ought to be treated like the scoundrels they are. They should be censured by the Church for scandal and heresy, and then charged for fraud.

You're extremely gullible if you think that you can always discern deceit where others can't. The people who believe in Hinn, Copland, etc. are just as convinced as you are that they could never be fooled. A fraudster could be fooling you right now and you wouldn't know it.. If you really believe in him / her, you would actively make up excuses for all of his / her transgressions against you.Thinking you're too smart to be that stupid is the dumbest thing you could ever do.

Everybody knows there are pedophile priests. Shielding those pedophile priests casts a shadow on the character of the priests who would never think of molesting a child. Has it ever occurred to you that these parasites don't even believe in the existence of God, let alone the glory of Christ ? They could be doing what they do just because it pays well. They'd sell The Great Pumpkin, seeds and all, if enough people like you were in the market to buy that The Great Pumpkin was real. Parents sell their kids on the existence of Santa Claus but you'd be hard pressed to find a parent who actually believes in the existence of Santa Claus.

It's not just your opinion. It's every sensible person's opinion. So what if Benny Hinn, Joyce Mayer, Kenneth Copeland and Creflo Dollar passed through the investigation with ' no wrong doing proved ' ? There are only two verdicts in the U.S. legal system: Guilty and Not Guilty. 'Not Guilty' is not the same as 'Innocent'. Guilty people have been declared 'not guilty' based on a technicality within the law.

The law is definitely an ass at times.

Setting aside the fact that I am an atheist, I still wish that Christians would at least sort out these fraudsters. I have met many people who live modestly and do not need much money to practice their belief. I am no stranger to the bible, I have read it and know that not only do these televangelists commit financial fraud and lie, but they are also breaking the very principles of their own belief. Honestly though, I don't care for bible ethics but I do care about the human ones
