Kdenlive - PNG/TIF Compose with Alpha Channel

In this case, a TIF was made with Alpha Channel, from GIMP. You can use also Photoshop or equal for this. Put it on top of your movie track an choose compose as transition. Move the time slider a little bit, it might be that it shows some nasty fragments in the first, but it should work with gradient transparency smoothly.
The Text was layered twice, doubled an layered black colored under, so you can emulate a drop Shadow Effect.
Much more easier: You can place a complete .tif Picture with Text right in the Titlegenerator. Just add your TIF with Alpha Channel there.

[updated after some problems while using png files. Found out that png files causing trouble in some cases. To avoid conflicts while rendering use .TIF (TIFF) Pictures instead. ]

How do I put text onto kdnlive. No-one teaches how to do. They all merely give a running commentary which teaches you sod all.
