You cannot use flash powder as a booster. Nice firecracker by the way

@anbrin i wounldnt recommend using a bridge wire for hmtd because some metals sensitise hmtd and make it very very unstable and can in some cases spontainiously detonate without any warning.. copper is a big no no!!!!
unless you seal the bridgewire in a peace of straw and tape it so no hmtd gets into the straw.
then place it into the hmtd filled container.
hmtd is not strong enough to detonate plastic explosive you would need a booster strong enough to do the job ill send you a video.

@minkify Can a bridge wire be used to detonate hmdt inside a small tube which has been placed inside a plastic explosive? Can hmdt be used as a primer( If placed properly) for a secondary plastic explosives consisting of potassium chlorate and vaseline wax? How strong is potassium chlorate as a plastic explosive?

@minkify The only problem is that Im in Australia and its really hard to gets things here i.e Blasting caps, fuses, chemicals etc. Its not like in america where you can go to your local " store" and find everything you need. The reason I wanted to know these things about hmdt is that I am pretty confident I can obtain that through hydrogen peroxide. Where as other chemicals like petn or methyl nitrate is hard to obtain.
Hello. I have been very interested in this explosive because it's very easy to make, it's cap sensitive but very insensitive to normal manipulation and accidental shock. It's also very easy to make in bulk. Only ammonium nitrate explosives, urea nitrate and medziankit can be easily maded by the home experimenter in more than a Kilo a day, Not so for nitroexplosives.
I do recommend you use Diesel instead of kerosene or even better, a 50/50 mixture of diesel and motor oil and an electric cap :D
