The Attorney General's office is vacant, but Justice Minister Mutula Kilonzo is hopeful that Professor Githu Muigai would be sworn in to office as early as Monday to replace former Ag Amos Wako who vacated the position yesterday. Professor Githu Muigai's appointment was approved by Parliament on Friday night, alongside nominees to the positions of Auditor General and Controller of Budget. When sworn in, Githu's first assignment will be to transmit the 12 constitution implementation bills passed this week to the Government Printer, before forwarding them to the President for assent. Chris Thairu reports.
