'Well it's a great pleasure to send warm good wishes to the Jewish community in Britain and all over the world as you celebrate Chanukah, the festival of lights.
This celebration of the resilience of the Jewish faith, of light over darkness, of freedom over oppression, is no less important and no less poignant than it was two thousand years ago.
Chanukah is about courage, it is about hope, looking forward of course to the future and we certainly hope for peace and for continuing to strive for peace in a region that so desperately needs it. So happy festival of lights, Hag Urim Sameach.'

I'm clearly not an Israeli agent. It's crazy. I am a Dutch politician who works for Holland and its citizens," says Wilders. "But I'm a friend of Israel, and I'm not afraid to say it. Because I openly speak in favor of Israel, people who don't like me make up such stuff. The Iranian press determined that I was a Mossad agent. The Jordanians call me a Shin Bet officer. It's nonsense."I'm affraid the dutch gouvermont or the islam community want to kill me.

A very welcome message, Mr. Hague, and thank you for your timely greetings. I don't want to appear ungrateful or picky, however, but are there no resources in the FCO that could set up for you the proper greeting for Chanukah, and teach you what to say and how to say it ? They managed to mangle your greeting at the end, sir; you need better - and way better informed - staff.
