In 1998, VH-1 asked many of music's top artists to name their choices for the greatest artists in Rock 'n Roll and here's who they came up with. The Beatles came in at #1 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Rock & Roll.

  • @jame1993abc First of all, I never said he was better then MJ. MJ is a great vocalist. Overall, Paul McCartney was a better musician. MJ will always be remembered as objectively one of the greatest enterteiners second only to Freddie Mercury. But undoubtedly Paul McCartney overall was always a better musician.

  • @jame1993abc He has the clearest vocals, He never Double Tracked, NothingGreat? Listen to McCartney or Chaos and creationin the backyard. He was an unbelievably great lyricist. He is underrated and many of his songs are often credited to mistakenly to John.

  • @HornsbyHavoc Proto hard rock. I've listened to that record, and in that year Led Zeppelin came out, certainly a song like Dazed and Confused is heavier. Is generally accepted that Heavy Metal began with Black Sabbath.

They created heavy metal, which I believe the who are known for, with helter skelter. Freddie Mercury and Brian May have both cited the Beatles as their inspiration. The Beatles song Yesterday is the most covered song in history, and their live broadcast of All You Need is Love is the most simultaneously watched program in history (1.2 billion people, adjusted to today's po

  • @Kamyu03 Good that you have your own opinion.

But once again, even big british artists like Queen and Who know the importance of the Beatles.

  • @msanm5 Not being ignorant and a poor american who believes the beatles were the best, well i yes for people like that, actually being smart and having musical taste and knowledge is something rare.

  • @Kamyu03 Lol. Kanyu calm down.

It´s easy to tell that you´re a little mad.

Good that you know the song.
