This is part one of two videos, DON'T FORGET TO SEE THE SECOND ONE! :P

I try to explain, in probably the worst way possible, the Scientific Theory of Evolution to... well... whoever.

Warning: I say the word "anyways" far too much, because it seems I digress more and more and more the longer I talk. Sorry mates!

Note: For the DNA code, it is not A B C D (which I admitted in-video), but is T C G A. I know, I know... not very important, but I'll add it here anyway (special thanks to papervampire!)

Here are some of the videos that inspired me to make this video:

  • It is still yet to be determined if there really is junk DNA. If you go to Wikipedia, they're careful about jumping to this conclusion. It states that in junk DNA "no function has yet been identified". In fact, scientists are beginning to find functions for the DNA that was once thought to be useless.

  • True, but I didn't feel like going into that within the video. But yes, that's very true.

  • I wonder... If the DNA copying process was to find itself perfect... that would eliminate mutations, and thereby evolution.

Thus pretty much screeching life to a standstill.

There would still be natural selection, but that would just reshuffle its own dna.

  • Never thought about that... but good point!!

  • T G C A, you hate ignorance but can't remember 4 letters....

  • I'm adding in the T G C A in my vid description though, with credit to you. =]

  • No. When an ovum gets fertilized it's a single cell organism and then "bam!" it's a two cell organism. Then "bam!" it's a four cell organism. Wait for a few trillion more "bam!"s, and only then is it a human being.

  • what is an ovum when it gets fertilized? its a single cell organism. and then "BAM" its a human being.

  • It would take thousands possibly millions of years though, and after all human diversity is gone and we are all a dull coffee colour with large eyes. We could all be killed by a virus because no diversity exists.
