Bravo! Respekt! Ich habe fast die gleichen Methoden benutzt um Deutsch zu lernen. Man sollte sich gar nicht davor scheuen Deutsch zu sprächen. Also die Angst zu überwinden war für mich das schwierigste. Grüße aus Mazedonien. Поздрави од Македонија

Mich würde mal interessieren wie viele Vokabeln du denn pro Tag auswendig gelernt hast?

frenzaldude, I do understand a lot of them, yes. I have had a lot of contact with Swiss German, Swabisch and Low German. That said there will undoubtedly be expressions I don't know, just as there for German native speakers. We can never learn everything in any language after all :)

frenzaldude, I learnt each gender and plural ending with each noun. I think it's the best way to do it as it helps to get the patterns in your head. Then when I spoke the language every day I simply listened to and learnt the patterns. You may well make mistakes, but who's perfect? And besides, how else do we learn? ;)

Hammer's German Grammar gives a good overview of this too by the way. :)

jmichaelrout, I would read through lists, write them out, re-read them and try to remember as many words as possible. I would then try to use those words with people as much as I could to make them stick.
