The only problems I had with this game was that the super villan boss fights were very unfair, also during the final Carnage battle I didn't even try to go to the secret room in that place because I have only been able to do it once and all the other times I've tried I have failed so I just didn't attempt, this is my second longplay so don't expect me to be all superman about it and kill everyone no problem because I did get two game overs but I edited them out, they are when you face the super villans the last time and when I faced Carnage for the second last time.

Maximum Carnage was a sweet game, but it was hard as hell to beat. I should know, I've never beaten it though I got as far as Prospect Park. Also, seeing this on the Genesis (Mega Drive) is an interesting comparison as I've only played this on the SNES.  I prefer its music over this version, though. Since this was mostly played as Venom, I hope that another Longplay of this game will be done with mostly as Spider-Man and on the SNES for the sake of comparison.

@BluBoulzor well usually when i did games for longplays i used savestates, although i played this game so much on my genesis i had the game memorized if i only played as venom whenever possible, i also did the snes version for this channel (but the audio is messed up due to the emulator) and i did all levels spiderman and i beat carnage without savestates or i dont thing i got hurt either, it was awesome

Spazbo4 is quite a good player what with Contra Hard Corps and all these games ! I did complete this game on the SNES emulator but sadly I save stated, knowing this was a LJN game which means it it usually not meaned to be played. Yet I might get back at it and play it legit, this is one off the few LJN games that is actually good, even really fun if I may say it. Be playing the GENESIS one, usually I always choose it over the SNES.

Everytime I hear that Carnage song on the Sega.... I laughed so hard (ps the reason it sounds so crappy compared to the SNES has to do with SNES using a sony sound chip and Sega a Yamaha- musicians will tell you BIG DIFFERENCE)

..... oh yeah, this may be the only playable game that LJN made.

i LOVE Maximum Carnage. This game was balls to the wall hard! I hope this gets a remake somewhere down the line with a two player co-op mode! YUS!!!!

This game scared the fuck out of me, especially with its Game Over screen. It still does, to make matters ever more sad for me...

The only time I ever beat this game was on an SNES emulator.
