@skeletorphd Not true. We Scots don't hate Tories. We pity them. In fact, we treat them the same way as you would treat an irritating veruca between your toes. Give it a good, satisfying scratch from time to time, but largely forget it is there.

If you read this backwards it says 'dlrow eht ni yrtnuoc tsilatipac lufrewop tsom'.
This translates to, 'I drew a picture of an aeroplane' in german.

1) St Andrews is not "Tory heartland", it is held by the Lib Dems.
2) Most of those images, such as the foam fight, have no political bent whatsoever, they are just students having fun.
3) What about the "Tory Girls"? A good half of the Conservative and Unionist Society is female!
4) The effigy burning was part of Bonfire Night, something which has neglected to be mentioned thus far.
5) All the bad press in the world will not stop it being a great university.
