Well, probably that part marked, the beginning when Jack started to loose his material stuff. When Tyler stole the car, it was meant - the car was gone to shit, like his ties, shoes, briefcase...
It was a step to ground zero, after the 1st meeting with Tyler....

he took the cab home earlier and when the narrator was shown at the airport and Tyler was stealing the car, he was actually already at his apartment rigging the explosives
