Their probable cause for asking to see id was there have been a lot of burglaries in this area!! this was after i told this guy i worked at this office! I feel completely violated and refused to show my id!! i didn't do anything and he says he has to "log" my info into the system? needless to say after about 10-15 minutes of harassment and threats.i showed my id. they wouldn't leav

I just got interrogated in the back of job!! I refused to provide my ID. I was smoking a cigarette in my car on private property! I wasn't doing anything wrong!!! SO why should I have to identify myself??? I requested for the sergeant to come. I wish society had proper access to what state laws we're to abide by! I feel violated because of it. I'll be contacting my lawyer! I was harassed while sitting at my desk!!

It was the officer that was wasting time here. He was the one trying to make up law.

@Pafoofnik1 if he showed him his ID boom its done he walks away cop leaves him alone he instead (the bearded guy) would rather "exercise his right" i understand you dont have to show him his ID hes not under arrest he wasnt doing anything wrong but why waste 10 minutes arguing with the cop? help the cop hes only there doing his job. if the cop was a prick i could understand you wanting to "stick it to him" but why make his day harder?

If you're not being detained (or you feel lack of probable cause to do so) I agree. Of course their bullshit, arresting you for 'disobeying a police officer'...'not providing ID to police officers when requested'... Of course they fail to mention they can't do any of that without probable cause, which they could care less about these days!
