Sujatha Mohapatra is one of the leading soloists of the country in the Indian dance form Odissi. She is the disciple and daughter in law of legendary Keluchandra Mohapatra and hails from Bhubaneswar Orrissa. She took the stage even as a child.Widely traveled all over the world for her performances, she is a leading member of Srjan Dance troupe. She has a Master's degree in Oriya literature from Utkal University and is the recipient of several awards. She has done extensive research on this dance form Odissi.
This is the Prayer to Lord Vishnu and giving respects to her Guru and greeting the audience. Choreography by Keluchandra Mohapatra.
