@huffnpuff2 I think it's because Pettibone was Madonna's producer and remixer (i.e. 'Like a Prayer' or 'Vogue').

Even tho Shep was an established producer already, it was the Pet Shop Boys West End Girls Remix he did that really threw him in 2the remix spotlight with everyone else.
