Why must I suck at computer drawing.

When i import it it wont let me use it as a character!

you should use at least one layer to draw (outlines) and one to paint (being the outlines layer the top one.)

@brandsca123: this video was covering the basics. This sprite was done quickly as an example. You should start with sprites like these and once you've improved your skills, THEN move onto more detail, possibly using tutorials that specify with certain sprites.
