In Clean Green Energy Australia will be better off with that GeoThermal technology but the power companies will have to do their research on Australias Geology cause of the 100s of old Fault lines that they could awake if that is possible but it's still better to be safe then sorry ^_^. It's bad enough getting woken up by are dog barking then a Earthqauke haha

Or maybe Exxon Mobil pays scientists to cast doubt on peer-reviewed, sound science.

And for some reason you think this science is more valid and trustworthy than the original science.

East Coast liberal filth is just insane.

I see what you mean, but I was excited to see this because t is an approach that some rural Americans might hear. they would NOT appreciae being called hoi anything. WE The PEOPLE include plaid collar workers, Pink Collars, LACE socks...and those of us who give a hoot about Democracy will work hard to reach out, across many miles and cultural barriers.

Rep. Lundgren (R- Ca) just said he wrote a bill to give a BILLION dollars to a "US incorporated" car company that gets 100 mpg... So how STUPID IS THAT? Typical "conservatism" - THROW HUGE MONEY at corporations that are ALREADY subsidized by the US to get them to produce WHAT PEOPLE WANT, and will HELP America's... and the World's...SECURITY, instead of ONLY producing what the oil/energy companies allow. Obama declared war on oil with 34mpg CAFE standards so fast, & Insur Ind w/Pub Health.

And if Gore HADN'T invested in Green energy...uh...for the last 30 years...Would people be CLAIMING it was all a scam if Gore himself wouldn't invest in it? Of COURSE they would.

Two college kids added another battery to a Prius and got OVER 150mpg. GM has a 40mile (electric only) hybrid Hummer! But they are going to sell Hummer & produce a SMALL 40 mile (electric-only) hybrid VOLT!

Now you know 1 reason why the CEO of GM had to be FIRED! My '90 med-sized Pontiac Bonneville got 24 mpg.

Al gore has massive stakes in energy trading companies. His selfless gestures are smoke and mirrors.

Black is white. War is Peace. The energy companies are shining bastions of progress and environmental protection who have not been fighting stricter standards on pollution for 40 years. I don't get your motive.

I understand your definition of "immoral". I just think it is somewhat out of place. Morality is a subjective perspective. You are seeing an entire organization through the lense of YOUR morality. That is the same mistake that you are attributing to the conservatives. Simply because your definition is more acceptable to you doesn't make it any more right.

I, for one, would not agree that fear of dictators is unhealthy.

It is not acceptable to use nuclear anywhere until we figure out how to shorten the half life of the nuclear fuel. We are not there yet.
