All I have to say is motorsaver filter!!! These filters are meant for gas not nitro; nitro engines require more filtration even k&n doesn't recommend this!

K&N is not good for dusty place it will ruined your carburator and alot of dirt can go inside of your carb thats why i stick with my stock filter ...

is that athe stock inner filter and do you have to do any thing to the carbartor and where can you buy a cheap knn air cleaner

chers m8 i got my savage x s just this friday and finished building it on saturday and only to find the piston is stuck at top dead center lol and yeah im gonna stick with the normal one the k&n cant handle dirt properly thanks again for the info m8 ^^

hey hypa, if i was you (which im not lol) i would stick with the standard airfilter. The dual foam is better for trapping dirt, as it has more trapping space whereas a k&n type has less, bigger holes. I have found throgh experiance that you will need to richen your k4.6 engine for the k&n thus reducing max revs. lso the K&N sits low as the pipe isnt quite angled enough, reducing airflow. Maybe im wrong but surly theres a reason why hpi dont use k&n's design ;). Tom (:

kool thx m8 also does this mod affect the airintake at all as in does it make the engine less powerfull that without the foam inside the k&n cheers m8

hey man could you let me know if this restricts the airintake cuz im getting slated by people who say my k&n on my hyper 7 buggy that they are shit even with a foam element inside it because im getting one of these for my savage x ss and they go through rogh dirt that will cover the truck in dust which will easily enter the carb. thanks mate very helpfull
