Hawker Hunter jet fighter "Miss Demeanour" displaying in the south of England including formation flying with Supermarine Spitfire VB at Dunsfold in 2007. The Hunter and Spitfire display was in tribute to the second World War fighter pilot and post war Hawker test pilot, Neville Duke. Dunsfold used to be the Hawker production test airfield.
Neville Duke set a new world air speed of 727.63 mph (1,171.01 km/h) on 7 September 1953, flying a bright red Hawker Hunter F3 (WB188) off the coast of Sussex near Littlehampton.
Hawker Hunter "Miss Demeanour" (G-PSST) is flown by Jonathon Whaley of Heritage Aviation Developments Limited. The Supermarine Spitfire VB, BM597 (G-MKVB) is operated by the Historic Aircraft Collection and was flown by Charlie Brown. Both superb display pilots.
