Her sensuous voice and manner as well as her "spooky beauty", in comunist oriented (forced) country of 1960's, was the reason of the unoficial ban for her TV appearances. Hard to imagine today.

But it ruined actually her exceptional approach to the art and her career.

She was exceptional - as you noticed, in your way, too.

Curious how cartoons of Kalina are all so instantly recognizable, yet the photos you've provided show us so many, many different looks, they have me scratching my head. I know they're all the same Kalina, but I know I could be fooled. A spooky beauty and a voice that much more so. Thanks(!)
