Harmony, an 18 month old Standard Poodle working some small area searches relying mainly on air-scenting. Eventually we hope she'll be a certified member of our local search group.
This is the 12th day of my 21 Day Project. Click here to learn more about the Project: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeyhPK... By posting a video every day for 21 days, I'm hoping to gain 50 new subscribers by June 8th. As of today, a total of 25 new users have subscribed. With these videos I'll experiment with different styles... tutorial, vlog, funny/cute dogs... Of course the videos won't stop coming after the 8th, I intend to upload a new one at least once per week. Thanks for helping me accomplish this goal, and I hope you'll get something out of my videos - even as an experienced trainer I still find neat tricks by watching other trainers work with their dogs, regardless of how simple or complex the overall task is meant to be.
thats soo neat how your family and friends pitch in to help with the training, i seen a toy in your brothers hand, he must have been sitting there a loong time lolz

Yes, it takes a lot of help to train a search dog. It was only a few minutes that time, but he brought the toy anyways... I don't wait long with Harmony yet, but in nice weather some people take a book (30+ minutes)... In the winter I make snow creatures to surround my spot - lol, birds on branches, squirrels etc. I wonder if other hikers have ever seen them after I leave? :P

Come to think of it, I've never made a dog on those excursions... just cute little wildlife. I've thought about making a Polar bear - probably will next winter!
