Thats only because it has the help of XFCE which makes the GUI smoother not the operating system. XFCE is an excellent desktop environment though. I won't use a distribution that doesn't support XFCE.

I have nothing against microsoft. but this comparison is stupid. and immature. you can say that your comparison ws like a kid talking about chocolate vs hard candy. nothing interesting here, you just wasted my time.

The point WAS the eye candy, that was the argument.

Or you could not mind other people's business and try not shoving down another OS down people's throats.

LOL @ you paying for Linux! Nice one tard! Why would you buy redhat? You do know you could use CentOS which is essentially a clone clone of redhat and it's free. You fail for using the most corporate shit Linux has to offer. Kinda defeats the purpose of open source and freeware huh? I'm an Arch Linux fan, but in favor of Ubuntu I can at least say Debian won't sell out on the open source community. Noob...I can't believe you tried to brag that up.
Pretty immature comparison.

I have been using Linux for quite some time and I haven't really ever used windows to much. So one of my friends gave me a copy of vista and told me to try it. After one week I was completely disgusted, everything was just clicking pretty pictures, it ran processes behind my back I had no control what so ever. As for ubuntu, its pretty much the vista of the linux world,it sucks. If you want an easy to use disto just use debian, way more stable. But my all time favorite is Slackware-most stable
