    Pretty sure when you till it in more microbes develop and break it down faster, making a richer soil.

  • Unfortunately, alot of energy (from dead plant matter) is being killed by unnecessary cultivation.

    Better to just chop it down and let it die on the surface.

  • @MegaJim79 He's talking about innoculating the vetch seed with the proper rhizobacteria to aid in the forming of nitrogen fixing nodules on the roots. Some soils don't have the proper rhizobacteria natually occuring within them, so innoculating the seed before planting is the solution.

    This guy is doing it right by turning the vetch into the soil. I don't know what he means by innoculant.
