it's called a "wah wah" for the sound it makes. I saw this guy on grafton street on christmas day, he was fantastic, I bought his CD and I can't stop listening to it.

The pedal for the "wah" effect is a dunlop cry baby pedal. The looping pedal is a " Digitech jamman looper" pedal.
I saw him busking two days ago and caught a look at his setup
