  • I think you are thinking too hard....so what if he says creativity can be assed or not ...the main point his the educational systems is too one dimentional..and they ignor students talents. period

  • OF course creativity is a two way process. Assessing and using creativity at the same time. Robinson's drive is not assessing as a critique, but as a way of giving the teacher clues in creating a more valuable curriculum for the individual.

There are state mandated skills and so some lessons must be restricted to assure mastery of those skills, but extending thinking beyond those basics is where creativity pays off.

  • You are reading - why? Is it an essay on creativity? Too nervous? Can't stand public speeches? Good points, more spontaneity!

  • I couldn't agree with you more :-) I sincerely hope that you are now a teacher or have your own school. You get it, and understand what these kids need. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Never give up, because greatness lives with you!

  • @agreg375 , clearly u have no understanding about the validity in the contradictions she presents which are critical concerns that should be raised in terms of the actual implementation of such curriculum

  • I think you make some good points....'assessing creativity' seems a bit erroneous as (following Ken Robinson'd definition) who ultimately can ultimately decide if a student's original thought 'has value' or not? The term 'value' is ambigious...art itself is highly subjective...some people like what others don't....if you are talking about 'financial value' it maybe able to be assessed ..but this is very limiting....

  • what the hell, you sound like a moron, get your thoughts straight. Why is your opinion so great anyways? Maybe if creativity was graded, students would put a bit more effort into being creative and expressing their ideas.

  • u so sweet looking
