Train # 4 was about 5 minutes late this morning. I got busy visiting with my Amtrak "Inside Guy" on the phone. When I hung up from visiting with him, my phone rang, and it was Kelly...reminding me that I had put both cameras in the VW last night. So....after returning home, and acquiring the equipment in question, I drove to Central Lawrence, and cut through the weeds and bugs to get my daily Amtrak video. Nice weather for mosquitoes here. The crew was great, and provided me with lots of very fine horn work. The lead locomotive was #95, and I think the trailing was #92....THANKS!....Doc n' Kelly

  • second unit was 192...nice one

  • This isn't the BNSF transcon route... the double main runs from kc-olathe-ottawa-emporia.. this single main segment runs kc-lawrence-topeka-emporia and is mostly used by Amtrak, a few coal trains, and occasional overflow traffic off the transcon.
