My father was in Government run Health Care in the US during the early 1970s. It run by the Veterans Administration. He was at a hospital in Oakland. When I visited him as a boy what I remember was the screaming of the patients. The nurse told me the patients were always doing that. I have seen government health care, it sucks

I will gaurantee you one thing. No one from America is going to Canada for health care but they dam sure come here.

I live in an area of the south where Canadians vacation in the winter mainly to play golf because of the great courses we have in the area. I also have a friend that has a family medical practice in the area. I have met a handful of Canadians that say the health care in Canada is terrible if you have a medical problem. My friend says he treats quite a few of them in his office. They have also had some call ins on our local talk radio and the Canadian callers confirm what I say.

Like I've mentioned. I've known plenty of people who were sick that got the care they needed. I'm sure there are people who aren't happy with Canada's health care. But I've never met one. And I'm a Canadian who lives in Canada. Not some American who met a few Canadians. And let me tell you. I'm happy I don't live in America. I owe mine and my family's health to my country.
