Rotary Evaporator is used to remove high boiling solvents under low pressure. Here is a demonstration on how to use rotary evaporator in CHEM 2050 Labs.

  • only thing about the vid, I wouldn't call it a complaint, but at first I was puzzled by the voice describing the machine and the furry arms that were doing the pointing, kinda odd untill I figured out what was going on. was thinking damn that is one fuzzy chick? any how nice description and tutorial. :)

  • I was taught that even after the round bottom is attached to the rotary with a clamp, you still have to hold it up until it is under vacuum.
