Just breaking out my new Fender Bass. It's actually a 'Vintage Modified Squier' model. I modified it to authentically look like a real '70's Fender. I had the neck tinted to a darker color and laquered, the 'Squier' logo removed and replaced with an authentic Fender Jazz logo. I swapped out the stock Seymour Duncans with the Lindy Fralin stacked jazz pickups. I also installed an Audere jazz bass preamp assembly with a seperate 9-volt drop-in battery box on the back. The frets were lowered down for better action. This is the best Fender I have ever played and the sound is phenominal.

  • Hi !! I really like your video !!! I bought that bass and I plan on modding it a bit, just like you. I just love your tone man ! Could you tell me which Lindy Fralin pickups you are using ? As well as the pre-amp ? I also want to know where you got the Fender logo ! Thanks a lot !! :D

  • @HitPointHD Thanks, man......They are the Lindy Fralin stacked coil Jazz pickups. I have since replaced the Fralins with a set of Rockfield Jazz pickups with the wide 3/8 pole pieces(believed to be prototypes because you can't even buy them as a set and I've looked everywhere online. Rockfield bass pickups are commonly found on Traben basses and guitars). The preamp is an Audere. If you read some of my earlier posts , it explains everything in detail. Thanks.

  • the newer Squiers are really good basses for the money. I have a Squier jazz bass myself and I like it better than my Warwick.

  • @enahcs Yeah.I've learned that you don't have to spend big bucks to get a good sounding bass.

  • Great........ another song Im not good e nuff to play, thanks

  • @spritquest35m Friend, if it makes you feel any better, I only took up the bass 4 years ago. The song is very easy to play, I just put my own spin on it. That's all. It's a fun tune. I feel the same way you do because a 14-yro. girl in the U.K. can play Stevie Wonder's 'Sir Duke' and I'm still struggling with that one.

  • Gee............that sure hurts coming from the likes of you.........

"Lowfreq65"?.....with a screen name like that, you just answered my next question regarding your dwindling common sense and lack of intellect. That explains everything I need to know about you. Cheers!
