The TRI Setup was developed at the ID-StudioLab, Industrial Design Engineering, TU Delft in 1999 as a tool for designers to develop and experience interactive prototypes.

It takes lessons from Virtual Reality (such as large scale interaction and immersiveness), but applies them in a sketchy environments: No extensive calibration or programming needed.
It was most valuable for the fact that we took the computer out of the desktop realm. It served as an inspiration and development tool for my other prototype Cabinet:
