Ford f100 5.4 lightning svt swap walkaround

Walkaround of my 1973 f100 with a complete gen 2 swap. 5.4 supercharged 4r100 4 speed automatic with overdrive, abs, disc brakes all around. Independent front suspension. Upgrades: 6 pound pulley, JBA shorty headers, Cold air intake, gutted exhaust.

i love this freakin truck...so tell me if u kno if the lightning wheels wheel pattern is the same as the 94 and back f-150?curious cuz i want those wheels on my truck

@twiztid1fiddy 73-96 is 5X5.5 pattern, 97+ is 5X135mm so it is different. you can drill out the newer wheels to make them fit. Thats what I did on my 93. If you go to my 454ss vs lightning video you can see the 01-02 style wheels on there.

Awesome build. I see you just put the body onto a full L frame and drivetrain. Excellent way to do it. I've thought about doing this to my '85. Any major differences putting the old style body onto the newer frame? Or were lengths and heights and everything fairly close?

@Harley8197 Everything matched up pretty nice, the newer trucks have a longer wheelbase, other than that there is plenty of room under the hood for the modular engine compared to the room under a gen 2 lightning.
