In this revealing BBC documentary 'Behind Closed Doors' we see how on the 27th of September 1939, the second visit of the German Foreign Minister, Joachim von Ribbentrop, to Moscow was a much more flamboyant affair with a guard of honour to welcome the new Nazi Ally and his entourage. Now in talks, it was not necessary to use coded language such as 'spheres of influence' and at the end of these formal discussions Stalin makes a surprising commitment of support to his new ally.

  • It is interesting how both communists and neo Nazis deny these things today. Once again we find them allied to each other.
