i had my 60gig PS3 for 3 years when it first came out 3 weeks later and it never had any problems. this mourning when i was playing DragonBall Raging Blast i pick a fight in the Friza SAGA and it just Froze (how ironic). Now it says "hard disk's file has been corrupted and now be restored" and i repeated this process about 9 TIMES for with 4 with a background and 6 without one. i called Sony 3 times and asked is it possible to fix my HDD without losing all my hard-worked saved Data. they said no. i was losing my Patience so i went to the internet for any help to fix my problem with losing any data at all. please is there ANYWAY to fix my PS3 without paying to get it fixed and lose my data. for any help that is trusted and actually works i would give all of you shoutouts, but only if you comment in the comment section.

  • You can thank CD's for the problem,CD's are bullshit,CD's cause alot of moving parts,

and moving parts = a higher chance of it breaking. what ever happend to cartriges?

  • You buy another PS3 and then start the game again xD

  • hey youre a fucking retard!

  • if you do tell this to sony, they will just say, "you should have backed up your data"

  • lol dude are you an idiot, just do what Death Said it happens all the time, it sounds like you dont know anything about electronics and sound a little retarded too lolbut do what death said

  • he thinks he'll get his ps3 fixed if he swears so much

  • recovery mode....hold the PS3 button while off and when it turns on with 2 beeps to enter mode.....

as much as I think Sony is a bunch of morons....this is pretty much your fault and not really theres, corruption of hard-drives happens all of the time, for a variety of reasons, ALWAYS back your shit up if you want to hold onto it. It happens to PCs too...don't act all fucking surprised when the only way to fix is to delete everything (assuming it has come to that).

  • um...try restoring the hardrive

  • if you didnt play 24/7 then maybe it wouldnt break

  • yeah theres a scret recovery mode. just look for it on google. this happened to me two days and I managed to fixed it in ten minutes. just type in ps3 secret recovery start up in youtube. anyways once you do this pick the third option that comes up which is restore system data and you wont lose ur data. And then make sure u back up ur data on a flash drive or ipod, etc.

  • You should have backed up your data for times like this. The PS3 makes it very easy to put your game save data, pictures, music etc. on a usb flash drive or external hard drive. So how can you talk about suing Sony because your harddrive failed and you didn't backup your data. My PS3 is 3 years old now and my PS3 data is backup on my external harddrive for not IF but WHEN something like this happens. A hard drive has moving parts and can fail at anytime. Learn from this and backup your data.
