The religious lobby is always claiming persecution. They say stuff like "we're not allowed to practise our religion in public schools" (indoctrination using taxpayer funds in other words) . Boo hoo.
In the meanwhile they're erecting signs with the ten commandments outside courts and forcing oaths to their imaginary deities in both the pledge of allegiance and courts.
Poor Christians - they're clearly oppressed!

@kberka You think a purely technical ruling applicable to the juridical system of ONE nation means that atheism must now be considered a religion? I beg to differ.

religion is a mistake. these institutions and people who believe these things are influencing the direction of your world, country, and town.. challenging scientific evidence in schools. total faith in fantasies is an infection of insanity, it inhibits truth and progress and it is an impairment to the judgement of everyone in the world.

The Supreme Court has ruled that Atheism must be considered a Religion in order to come under court authority for first amendment protection by the first amendment law. Therefore, presto, Atheism is religion. Even though it is non-faith based religion, it still gets to be religion. The court is the final arbiter. Cheers!!
