The Who - My Generation (Live On Smother's Brothers). Quite an ending. After this was broadcast The Who never appeared on another american variety show, for fear of a similiar ending.

Only Keith Moon would go as far as to put explosives in his bass drum. lol, you can also see that on of his cymbals blew up in the explosion and cut his arm.

The look of puzzlement on Tommy Smothers' face is unplanned...there was 3 times as much blasting powder in the drum as there should have been, and left Pete Townsend with permantly ear damage.
