I voted for McGovern.
I'm glad that he and Warren Buffett agree that card-check is a mistake.

I can't believe that unions, including my union, SEIU, are in favor of taking away our right to a secret ballot vote. Their desire for a quick fix for the decline in membership while sacrificing something so fundamental to Americans is shameful.

I am a Union worker and I am totally against the SEIU. And have been every since they stated it.Yes it's a form of socialism. Everyone with one pay, no matter what job it is.

NO CARD BUYERS!!!

Go through the apprenticeship programs or stay out of the unions.

Anyone can join a union. Just quit your job and go join one. I don't believe in forcing companies to go union.

If the liberals and union bosses can't even get someone like McGovern on board it shows you that they have crossed the line from liberal to completely socialist.

"I've ALWAYS been a champion of labor unions.."

Not true. In '72, he had an antagonistic relationship with the AFL-CIO, calling then-President George Meany "..a plumber who hasn't fixed a faucet in 25 years". As a result, rand & file sat on their hands in that election, and he was slaughtered by Nixon (who had big support from the Teamsters).

Thank you, Sen. McGovern, for your courage to stand on principles, no matter what. What ever happened to "democratic" in the Democratic Party?!!! Keeping this dangerous idea from becoming law is one of the many reasons we need John McCain as President. He will reform the crony capitalism of Congress on both sides of the aisle, which is the biggest and best change we could make in America right now.

I am and Independent who hought Obama looked like my only choice... man, was I hoodwinked by his charm, or what?

To be left of George McGovern is scary. People, wake up! Stop to read between the lines, the propaganda and the slick campaign.

Obama knows how to use propaganda well.

Please read and think for yourselves. And don't be duped by the glossy propaganda campaign. Sure, McCain sucks. But at least he doesn't want Government to invade our lives. Frightening.

Yes, but he'd probably like people to join unions of their ow free will, rather than by force.
