Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house

Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care

With hopes that St. Nicklaus would leave some cash there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds

Mom and dad downstairs worrying about their jobs instead.

This Christmas will be different said Dad with a deep sigh

But at least I wont have to write thank you notes for any ugly ties.??

Oh my stocks, my retirement, my 401k.

Down dow, down nasdaq, down I-R-A.

Hey, gas is better nowits under 3 bucks.

But I still shake the nozzle for those last few drops.

Please, Santa loan me your prancer or your vixen,

They run cheaper cause they got no pistons.

The Detroit big wigs flew their jets with glee.

To congress with tin cups are you kidding me?

Weve bailed out the banks, Fannie Mae and a guy named Mack

But what about us? Do WE get any money back?

Its the next great depression the newspapers shout.

All our money is gone but is that what its all about?

Should we worship Bonds, should we bow to Stocks?

When the game is over it all goes back in the box.

And so on this bailout Christmas 2008. With life in turmoil and payments all late. I say

We open the most important gift of all.. the gift of love..before its too late.
