so i just found out that you have a youtube vlog! very cool!!! and it looks like you have a pretty good following, too! congrats, cuz! if i were you, i'd teach your kids hawaiian. aunty renee didn't speak hawaiian like uncle ron did, but all their kids at least understand what uncle ron says and stuff. we would teach our kids a different language if either of us were fluent enough in one, instead of forgetting all of them! :-D ~esther

lol..yeah I started watching other peoples' blogs and thought it was a good way to document the pregnancy. I've met a bunch of girls who are about as far along as I am so it's fun to compare experiences and stuff. I haven't really told the family about it...but I probably should. I'm such a dork. About the language thing, I was always sad that Mom never spoke french to me, so I'm determined not to make that mistake. I hope they at least pick up some hawaiian...thanks for watching :)

Hi i am today 13.6 days pregnant and i love your videos! I plan to start my videos next weeks when im definatley in my 2nd trimester. But your child being bi-lingual i plan to do the same thing, i suppose its easier for me because the language i would like my child to speak is patois. My partner understands but his pronunciation is off. I plan to speak it to my child from day one with a mixture of english like my mom and dad did with me and my sister.

Congratulations! I think that's awesome you're going to speak Patois to your child! Are there are lot of Patois speakers where you're from? I'm kind of nervous because it's not like you can walk down the street and hear everyone speaking Hawaiian, and I'm not fluent yet...but can hold a decent conversation. So baby's definitely gonna hear more english than Hawaiian. No harm in trying though. Thanks for watching! I'm so glad you enjoy the vids. Can't wait to see yours :)

Thanks! Yeah I've been feeling some movement but it's not frequent and it feels like someone tapping from the inside (which probably isn't far from what's really happening.) Once in a while I'll get a nice strong tap but I'm looking forward to some stronger movements. Do you go through periods where your belly's really hard? Do you think that's the baby?

Congrats on your 17th week and Congrats on your paper! That is awesome. Have you felt the baby moving yet? I just started feeling big movements this week. I will be 17 weeks tomorrow.
