This video is dedicated to the memory of Ryan Phua. Please visit www.ryansride.org to show your support, volunteer your time or to donate.

This is a promotional video found on SCEA's underground CD. John Phua demonstrates the features of the analog controller, SLUS-1180. This controller had extended handles, inverted thumb sticks, and no vibration feature. It would soon be replaced by the Dual Shock controller (SLUS-1200).

  • Exactly, then nerdy Microsoft stuck their nose in and desperately tried to make gaming revolve around the internet, because they know its the one thing they wont get crushed at. Casual gaming will never be the same thanks to their ignorance.

  • Those were the days. Playstation has and always will be the best!! Screw Xbox wannabe's

  • Will this work with all ps1 games??

  • this should be the ps4's controller.

  • @sayhellorosco Because convex is significantly better and more comfortable.

  • Why did they dump the concaved analog sticks?

  • i always preferred analog than joystick. for me thats easier

  • stop being a retarded Sony fanboy! How about we all respect ALL of the consoles? damnit! I'm sick of you little imature kids! PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii are all good consoles!

  • Mark Cerny created Marble Madness and was in some sort of leadership position for Sega Technical Institute (who made Sonic 2 and a ton of Sega's U.S.-made games).

"What could offer more control than that?"

    Hello Wii Remote

I don't even have a (working, thanks overheating 1995 model) PS1 anymore, but I've still got one of these dual analogs with the box because it was such a good controller with the longer grips, and in theory, it's supposed to be pretty rare.

  • holy shit, that guitar riff brought back memories. we used to have a demo CD that had that song on it and it was the best thing ever.

  • i know right,, the ONLY thing i hate from playstation is the high prices for ps1 classics,, i mean come on resident evil1 (hard ass game) for 10 bucks i can see mgs1 for that much but re1 is expensive as well as the 6 dollar others too,, if they were like 3 bucks id buy all of them,, but man it just seems expsnsive since yu can get soo many better ps2 and even a cpl ps3 games for the same price
