Virginia Tech Hokies -- Football Travel 1990

This is one of the "Most Favorites" of things I've done. Traveling with a college football team is unbelievable, and it can be very exciting. I have lots of stories. Chartered jets, massive police escorts, unending food...it was spectacularly fun. I wanted to recreate the police escort in Columbia, South Carolina TO the football game at the University of South Carolina, and I only marginally succeeded. We were going what felt like 100 miles an hour down closed city streets FOR US. In 1988, I was on a bus without a camera, but in 1990 I was in the lead police car with a camera. Just didn't get the great shots! But I love this piece...
