For some reason, the 3rd generation mustang did not start looking like a true sports car until 1987. So from 1979-1986, it was a disappointment to me.

Mustang a sports car? Well it's more a pony car,as in small coupe with performance options. In fact it was the only pony car for a few years until the camaro and challenger stepped up to be beaten by it again!

But from the early '70's through the mid '80s, it was not so great, but glad ford held onto it, the new ones are even better than the best of the classic years.

@dsifor3dsboi Cause it was a coupe that  was stylish for the era that came in coupe hatch or convertable thats why the Miata is considered a sports car
