Words cannot express how much I love this song. It takes me to another place and time, a time when storytellers kept people spellbound around a campfire as magic and enchantment wove themselves into the nighttime's mists. Simply beautiful.
And for those who don't know, a skald is a Norse poet, sort of like an English bard (correct me if I'm wrong; I had to look it up myself).

I get tired of the CD recorded Songs after a while, but I can never stop listening to their live perfomances. Blind Guardian is a Band thats live more awesome than on studio record. I would pay 100 € for their shows because their as awesome as AC/DC live.

Does anyone else find that this song has unusual longevity compared to Blind-Guardian's other acoustic songs? I think the elequently woven lyrics and rhymes made the song absolutely timeless, you can almost jump into it during any mood. imo, it really surpassed the bard song and a past and future secret.
