This short is a product of "break/s beyond the ballot," collaboration between BCAM students, the Hip Hop Theater Festival, and MAPP international. ctions, and community partner Brooklyn Community Arts and Media High School (BCAM) for break/s beyond the ballot. Artists in residence Marc Bamuthi Joseph and Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi facilitated four days of intensive work with the youth at BCAM, where they developed written pieces that articulate the youths' views. Then, we worked at BCAM over the next 2 months to transform those written pieces into short films and graphic arts pieces. They will be incorporated into future productions of Bamuthi's acclaimed "mixtape for stage," the break/s.
