A basic wooden dummy drill shown to me by my friend Chris Robinson. Added an idea which would incorporate kenpo concepts into the drill without changing the base idea of his drill. Constructive feedback always welcome. Purists may want to move on to another video. I am a novice in Wing Chun. My primary background is American Kenpo. I have been training in the martial arts since 1975.

  • @MrRobertoCofresi Yes in kenpo we say the only difference between a block and a strike is intent. I do agree with body structure ... I filmed this as a reply to my friend about 5 minutes after he sent me the original drill, lol.

  • A block is a block, a kick is a kick, and a punch is a punch. I am too a novice in Wing Chun and not a purist but... If you neglect the body structure then it is not Wing Chung. All that remains is practicing fast and short range blocks while punching vertically. Just like a throw per se is not Judo or Aikido.

    My two cents
